bullet Telephone: 03000 333 333 for Herts Urgent Care
 
bullet Out of hours is:
Monday to Friday 18.30 – 08.00 hrs
Saturdays, Sundays and bank/public holidays – all day and all night (24hrs)

The West Herts Primary Care Trust (PCT) provides this service.

NHS Direct: Operates a 24hour nurse advice and health information service, providing confidential information on:

bullet What to do if you or your family/friend is feeling ill

IF YOU NEED TO CALL UPON THE EMERGENCY OUT OF HOURS SERVICE

Your call will be answered by NHS Direct staff who will:

bullet Take note of all your personal details (name, date of birth, address and telephone number) together with details of your problems
 
bullet Pass your call onto a nurse, STARDOC, or call an ambulance
